Business Development Representative

As part of a central Growth team, the business development representative’s primary responsibility will be to develop and manage our sales pipeline, to ensure a steady flow of qualified leads. You will act as the first point of contact when contacting prospective businesses and handling incoming inquiries about Brandwidth Group services to drive new opportunities.

Your role is crucial in identifying and nurturing opportunities that align with the Brandwidth group’s business goals, ultimately driving revenue growth.

You will quickly build relationships and foster trust based on your industry experience of working for a digital agency, with a particular focus on how our customer experience design and commerce expertise can uniquely improve results for clients.

You will be able to explain the value of working with a global network of specialist businesses in the context of a competitive market.

Skills/Responsibilities

As a Business Development Representative at Brandwidth, you will:

Pipeline Development and Management

  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and managing leads.
  • Proactively engage in lead generation activities, including 1:1 emails, LinkedIn and telephone outreach and networking.
  • Devise innovative methods for finding and contacting new lead sources to unearth new opportunities.
  • Track and manage all lead information, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.
  • Ensure all other team members are aware of the status of all leads and opportunities.

Lead Qualification and Initial Contact

  • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming inquiries, promptly responding to potential clients.
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to determine their fit and potential value.
  • Conduct initial discussions to understand client needs and position Brandwidth’s solutions effectively.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Growth Partner to align and execute lead generation strategies and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition from qualified leads to pitch.
  • Communicate client feedback and insights to inform product and service improvements.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Monitor and report on pipeline metrics, including lead conversion rates and sales opportunities.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for optimising lead generation and qualification processes.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on pipeline status and progress towards sales targets.

You will bring:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience at a digital marketing agency
  • Experience in a sales role with a focus on lead generation, qualification, and pipeline management.
  • Experience deploying the correct sales process, including objection handling and negotiation
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and lead qualification methodologies.
  • Strong understanding and experience in selling digital agency services: in particular eCommerce, CMS products and CX design
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms e.g. Adobe, Shopify, Big Commerce and CMS platforms such as WordPress/Drupal preferable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with potential clients.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (preferably HubSpot) and other sales tools.
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desired Experience
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in the digital innovation or tech industry.
  • Familiarity with sales outreach techniques, including cold calling and email campaigns
