Growing retail footfall
Easter is the key trading period for Hotel Chocolat. Brandwidth developed a campaign that connected experience and retail to support sales of Easter eggs across their retail estate of 80 stores.
Beau Bunny, a street magician, and our team of ambassadors entertained the public with sharp tricks and scrumptious treats. A social media campaign underpinned the activity, where we asked people to guess where Beau Bunny was each day, with clues posted in store and online to encourage footfall and web traffic.
The results speak for themselves: 66k entries to the competition, 21k people added to the database, a universal 10% increase in footfall YOY, and – the clincher – a sales uplift of between +5-15% per store, with a high of +68% for one store.
