Role overview

We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Account Director to join our Client Partnership department.

As an Account Director at Brandwidth, you will manage and grow client relationships, focusing on long-term account development by providing strategic guidance to clients, the internal account team and the development and execution of business strategies.

You will be reporting to Andrew Moss (Senior Account Director)

Skills/Responsibilities

As an Account Director at Brandwidth, you will:

Client Strategy, Leadership & Growth

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow both existing and new clients, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for the other brands within the Brandwidth Group with existing clients.
  • Ensure that clients’ needs and expectations are met and that their projects are delivered on time and within budget, maintaining targeted margins.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, developing trust and credibility with important decision-makers.
  • Identify early and address any challenges that may arise in our client relationship.
  • Embrace client and market intelligence to hone tactics and targeting methods to improve conversion rates with the effective interpretation and application of data.
  • Lead conversations with clients and procurement teams during the proposal, pitch and contractual stages, including negotiation on terms and pricing.
  • Lead internal client-centric conversations about budgeting and forecasting, working with the finance team at important reporting milestones to inform and agree on resourcing requirements.

Team Performance & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Head of Client Partnership to develop and implement improvements with care for our business strategy.
  • Lead and motivate the account teams to deliver first-class account management and client partnership, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard – on budget whilst meeting company margins.
  • Identify and action the main areas of growth within our client Partnership team that focus on maintaining team development and utilisation.
  • Lead the talent pathways, performance reviews, individual goals, and professional development of team members.

Creativity, Strategy & Innovation

  • Stay up to date on industry trends and developments and provide guidance and counsel to clients on how to best use digital marketing and technology to achieve their business goals.
  • Research and appreciate clients’ long-term business strategies to ensure alignment with KPIs and political motivations to manoeuvre our businesses into positions of influence.
  • Act as our client’s advocate when communicating within their business to help them seed and cement strategies at the top of their agenda, helping with change management challenges.
  • Inspire clients to invest in new methods to achieve their goals with the innovative application of new digital products to capture and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Use your experience in digital platforms and tools to enhance concepts and proposals and inspire faith in our knowledge and quality to create leads and unlock budgets.

You will bring:

  • Experience with client services or account management within a digital agency, with a background in digital platform experience design, data science, digital transformation, and e-commerce.
  • Experience helping create and deliver multi-channel strategies for clients that encompass always-on content and communications.
  • Experience with client retention, revenue growth, and achieving great results.
  • Great social, efficient skills in communication, time allocation, and influencing.
  • Experience managing partner relationships.
  • Clear experience with digital technology and the use of strategy to guide digital transformation.
  • Experience with customer journey optimisation across all digital channels
  • Experience with Adobe Suite (Experience Manager, Commerce, Target, and Analytics) is an advantage.
